In the dual study programme in IT Security at Maurer Electronics GmbH, you combine Computer Science with modern know-how in the field of cyber security. At Leibniz-Fachhochschule, you will learn the theoretical fundamentals of IT security: from cryptography and network security to operating systems, databases, IT forensics and secure software development, as well as risk analysis and data protection. 

During the practical phases at the company, you put your knowledge into practice straight away: by developing and secure applications, analysing security incidents, creating security concepts and helping defend against real IT attacks. You will also gain insights into IT forensics, where digital traces are investigated and evaluated after attacks. You will learn to identify vulnerabilities in systems and implement effective protective measures. You will also deepen your knowledge of secure software development. In addition, you get to actively contribute to building and optimising highly secure IT infrastructures.
