Apprenticeship as a Warehouse Logistics Specialist (m/f/d)

During your apprenticeship, you will gain in-depth knowledge of logistics processes and develop strong methodological skills. 

You will learn how goods flows are planned, organised and implemented professionally, from receipt and proper storage through to order picking and dispatch. You will also learn how shipping documents are created and correctly assigned. You will also gain insights into working with modern warehouse and transport equipment, digital inventory management systems and key performance indicators used to manage processes. You will develop a strong understanding of quality assurance, occupational safety, environmental protection and efficient workflows. Alongside technical skills, the focus is also on teamwork, communication across interfaces and clear documentation of work processes. 

The aim of your apprenticeship is to prepare you systematically for responsible roles in modern warehouse logistics. Practical learning, forward-looking methods and an awareness of safety and sustainability play a key role. By the end of your apprenticeship, you will be thoroughly prepared for the final assessment.

The apprenticeship begins on 1 September in odd-numbered calendar years. The apprenticeship usually lasts three years. During this time, you will alternate regularly between practical training at the company and classes at vocational school. 

Your journey starts with an onboarding week in Berlin, where you will get to know the company and meet other new apprentices. In the company, you will learn step by step how goods flows are managed, how orders are efficiently assembled and how stock checks are carried out. At vocational school, you will receive the theoretical foundation, for example on types of storage, key figures, transport routes and legal requirements in goods transport. 

Throughout your apprenticeship, you will be supported by experienced trainers who guide you both professionally and personally. Each training year introduces new focus areas and practical skills, including the safe handling of forklifts and logistics processes related to order picking.
