The training programme for your apprenticeship as an IT specialist for application development (m/f/d)
The apprenticeship starts every year on 1 September and usually lasts three years. Practical assignments in the company alternate regularly with lessons at vocational college. Your journey starts with a joint onboarding week in Berlin, where you will get to know the company and meet other new apprentices.
At the beginning of your training, you will complete a four-month boot camp, where you will acquire a solid foundation of basic knowledge. You will then work directly on real IT projects, taking on increasing responsibility within the development team.
During each year of your training, you will gain practical experience in various departments of your training company and learn how to program complex applications independently.
At vocational college, you will learn the theoretical basics, e.g., programming languages, databases, system architectures, and IT security. In the final year of training, you will deepen your knowledge in a six-month specialization phase and prepare intensively for your final exam project in the subsequent six-month final phase.
You will create an independent project that forms an essential part of your final exam. In this project, you will develop a practical software solution and present it to the examination board. Our training teams will be on hand to provide you with advice and support – both technical and methodological, tailored to your individual needs.
