How did you come to Bundesdruckerei GmbH?

When I decided to do an apprenticeship, I was still a second-semester computer science student at Humboldt University in Berlin. I made the decision to quit my studies and specifically looked for training companies that were at least as big as a medium-sized company with a name that I was familiar with. I then came across a Bundesdruckerei advertisement on the employment agency portal, I applied – and the rest is history.

What happened after you completed your training?

I had already received a permanent contract while I was still a trainee. This meant that from my second year of training, I was able to actively pursue my goal of mastering the tasks my future job would entail. I consider myself lucky to have been given the tasks right away that I particularly enjoyed then and still enjoy today and that also present me with various challenges. I have even been able to supervise and further develop up to today a project from my training days (which was also my final thesis).

What tip would you give students applying to Bundesdruckerei?

The most important things for any new apprentice are passion for the job, commitment and a thirst for knowledge. The rest is easy. We are a super team and happy to welcome new colleagues.
