The Bundesdruckerei Group

Bundesdruckerei is a one-stop solution provider for the secure design of the digital transformation. Together with its subsidiaries and shareholdings, the company ensures that businesses, authorities and governments can rely on secure protection for personal identities. Bundesdruckerei currently has eight subsidiaries and shareholdings.

Berlin-based D-TRUST GmbH is a company of the Bundesdruckerei Group. Regarded as a pioneer in the field of secure digital identities, D-TRUST has already been listed with Germany’s Federal Network Agency since 2016 as a qualified trust service provider in accordance with the eIDAS Regulation. The company issues qualified digital certificates for electronic signatures, seals and qualified remote signatures. It also offers other PKI products and services, such as its AusweisIDent service.
Maurer Electronics GmbH acts as Bundesdruckerei's development company for ID systems and system components. The company with its registered office in Munich and branch offices in Hamburg, Hanover and Split (Croatia) develops hardware and software for the capture, personalisation and verification of ID documents. It further integrates such components into complete system solutions and offers services for these hardware and software solutions.
Based in Kirchheim near Munich, genua GmbH specialises in network security solutions and focuses on customers with special IT security requirements. Its product range includes firewalls, high-security gateways, virtual private networks (VPNs) for secure data exchange on the Internet, remote maintenance solutions for machinery and IT systems, as well as solutions for mobile security. On 1 January 2020, genua became a wholly owned subsidiary of Bundesdruckerei.
iNCO Spółka z o.o. with registered office in Gorzów, Poland, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bundesdruckerei. The company provides administration services and support for the products of D-TRUST and Bundesdruckerei as well as for the Business Services. iNCO also offers scanning services along with OCR recognition and data capture.  
Veridos GmbH is a joint venture between Bundesdruckerei and Giesecke+Devrient. The partners have bundled their international business with solutions for secure identification, such as passport and ID card systems for governments in this joint venture in which Bundesdruckerei holds a 40-percent share.
With a share of 22.43 percent, Bundesdruckerei GmbH is one of the shareholders of Hamburg-based DERMALOG Identification Systems GmbH. Dermalog is Germany's largest biometrics manufacturer and one of the world's leading companies in biometric identification. The company’s key products include automated fingerprint identification systems (AFIS).  
Thanks to its 35.1-percent share in cv cryptovision GmbH, Bundesdruckerei has access to the technical know-how needed to develop cryptographic methods. This company with its registered office in Gelsenkirchen is recognised as an expert in highly efficient, secure encryption methods. It offers innovative cryptography along with electronic identity solutions.
Bundesdruckerei GmbH holds a 5,91 percent share in Berlin-based VERIMI GmbH. The aim of this alliance involving several German companies is to create the most secure and user-friendly platform of trust for identity services and payments throughout Europe. In the future, a "master key" for online offerings and authorities will make logging into a website easier and using Internet services more secure. Apart from Bundesdruckerei, the founders of this cross-industry data platform include Allianz, Axel Springer, Daimler, Deutsche Bank along with Postbank, Deutsche Lufthansa, Deutsche Telekom, Core as well as Here Technologies and Giesecke+Devrient.
