sign-me signature portal

This section provides answers to frequently asked questions regarding the sign-me signature portal (last updated: 30 June 2015).

General questions

  • The signature process is started automatically as soon as sign-me recognises your signature card or an ID card with a certificate. Connect your reader to your PC and insert a valid signature card or a valid ID card with a certificate. As soon as sign-me recognises your certificate, the process is continued and both the signature certificate and the document will be displayed to you.
  • The signature process is started automatically as soon as sign-me recognises your signature card or your ID card. This means that you can start the process at any time by simply removing your signature card or ID card from the device and inserting it again.
  • You can view the document using our 'TrustedViewer' as soon as the process is started. sign-me first checks whether you have inserted a valid signature card or a valid ID card with a certificate. As soon as sign-me recognises your certificate, the process is continued and both the signature certificate and the document will be displayed to you. Now you can click on the 'Secure document display' and view the document in our 'TrustedViewer'
  • As soon as sign-me recognises your signature card or your ID card with a certificate, you can view the document using our 'TrustedViewer'. In addition to finding other document properties there, you also have the option to save the document.
  • As soon as you have successfully signed the document and the signature procedure is complete you will be given the option of downloading the document.
  • If you still have the original signature link from your provider and if you have not yet successfully signed the document, you can repeat the signature process during the validity period.
  • If you no longer have the signature link, please contact the provider who redirected you to the sign-me signature portal.
