Euro production

Cutpak:
At the end of a long production process, the euro banknotes which are printed on sheets are cut into individual notes, counted and prepared for packaging.

Valuable goods in inconspicuous boxes:
The finished EUR 50 banknotes are prepared for dispatching after a demanding production process and many quality controls.

Million-euro pallets:
The euro banknotes are still piled up in sheets. They are transported to the next production stage where the sheets are cut into individual notes, counted and prepared for dispatching.

Making 40 out of one:
The Cutpak cuts the sheets with EUR 50 banknotes into individual notes. 40 notes with a total value of EUR 2,000 are on each sheet.

Security by the metre!
The special foil of the new euro banknotes is one of the many security features that will put an end to counterfeiters.

Besides other printing methods, intaglio printing is the most demanding and expensive process that is used in banknote production. It is the finest process because tactile reliefs are printed which cannot be imitated by any other means of reproduction.
