New CFO at Bundesdruckerei

Berlin, 27 July 2010 - The Supervisory Board of Bundesdruckerei GmbH has appointed Mr Christian Helfrich as new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Bundesdruckerei. Helfrich (43) who is expected to join the company on 1 January 2011 is currently in charge of the reorganisation process at the Belgium-based Agfa group. In his capacity as CFO of Bundesdruckerei, he will be responsible for the areas of finance, IT, purchasing, security & facility management as well as human resources.

With Christian Helfrich joining the company, Bundesdruckerei's executive management will once again be made up of two persons. CEO is Mr Ulrich Hamann who has been managing the company since 2004 and, since 1 January 2009, has also been temporarily in charge of the functions Mr Helfrich is now going to take over.

Christian Helfrich was born in 1967 in Heidelberg where he studied economics at Ruprecht-Karls University. Since 1997, the economist has been working for the Agfa group in different positions.

Mr Willi Berchtold, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, commented: "We are delighted that we were able to win Mr Helfrich as an experienced executive for this area. This will foster Bundesdruckerei's positive development further."
