Willi Berchtold new Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Bundesdruckerei

Berlin, 16 December 2009 - Willi Berchtold, member of the board of the automotive supplier ZF Friedrichshafen AG, has been appointed Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Bundesdruckerei GmbH.

"I am looking forward to shaping the future and being part of Bundesdruckerei with its 130 year-old history," Willi Berchtold explains his reasons for his acceptance.

The successfully completed restructuring and selling process of the Berlin-based high-security company resulted in the new appointment of the Chairman of the Supervisory Board. About eight years after privatisation, the Federal Republic of Germany, represented by the Federal Ministry of Finance, has once again become the sole shareholder of Bundesdruckerei as of October 2009. The company's status under private law, however, remains unchanged.

The other members of the Supervisory Board are: Ministerialdirigent Detlev Biedermann (Federal Ministry of Finance), Undersecretary Werner Gatzer (Federal Ministry of Finance), Dr. August Hanning (Undersecretary ret.), Dr. Norbert Schraad (Member of the Board of Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen) as well as Detlef Bachler (Bundesdruckerei, Chairman of the Works Council and Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board), Manfred Föllmer (ver.di), Andreas Fröhlich (ver.di), Bettina Gran (Bundesdruckerei, Works Council), Peter Meden (Bundesdruckerei, Works Council) and Joachim Rösemann (Bundesdruckerei) as representatives of the employees.
